Javi Garcia would be happy if former rival Radamel Falcao was to join him at Manchester City.

Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia has said that he would be "happy" if Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao joined the Premier League champions.

The Columbian forward has been highly coveted by some of Europe's top clubs, with the Madrid club reportedly ready to sell.

Garcia, who faced Falcao when the two were playing in Portugal, thinks that any team would like to have a striker of his ability.

"He is a great player and he can play in any league he wants," said Garcia.

"Falcao has been fantastic. He is scoring lots of goals in La Liga and I knew him from Portugal, where he did the same.

"I would rather play with him than against him. I faced him for Benfica against Porto so I know what he can do. I'd be happy to have him in my team."

The 26-year-old scored both goals as Colombia beat Paraguay 2-0 on Friday night.
