Brazil's first-choice striker Fred has hinted that an offer from one of Europe's elite clubs could tempt him to leave Fluminense amid reported interest from Manchester City.

Brazilian international striker Fred has stressed his happiness at Fluminense, but has admitted that he could be tempted to leave if he receives an exceptional offer.

Manchester City have been linked with the 29-year-old forward, who impressed during Brazil's victorious Confederations Cup campaign, scoring five times during the tournament.

"I am doing great at Fluminense and I will only leave the club if there is a really great offer," Fred told reporters.

Manuel Pellegrini's City are seeking strike reinforcements after the recent sales of Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli.
