Yaya Toure: 'Manchester City were fantastic against Tottenham Hotspur'

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure says that the club's 6-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur was an important result in their efforts to win the Premier League.

Yaya Toure has said that Manchester City produced a "great team display" in their Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues recorded an emphatic 6-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium, with Toure delighted at the football they produced and the chances they created in attack.

"This was a very important win for us against one of the best teams in the Premier League," he told the club's official website. "It was a great team display and I think we played fantastic. We have some fantastic players at the football club and the two guys up front are unbelievable.

"We are creating chances and get more bodies forward more quickly and they are benefiting from that. We are playing some really good stuff at home and I don't think it will be long before we start to win games away from home, too.

"We want to win the Premier League and we work very hard at home and away from home, too and it's strange that we have lost so many times but as I say, I think that will start to change very soon."

City moved up to fourth in the Premier League table after today's result.
