Carlos Tevez says that Manchester City is the reason behind the striker's 'collapse' to potential clubs.

Carlos Tevez has blamed Manchester City for not agreeing a deal with a number of potential suitors, which has resulted in the Argentina international remaining at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old fell out of favour with the Premier League side after refusing to warm up during a Champions League match with Bayern Munich last year. The fall-out of the incident resulted in the striker flying to South America in November without the club's permission.

AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan were all publicly interested in signing the forward, but none of the clubs could agree a deal with City, who were intent on refusing any loan offers.

"I just see I think the whole situation has become almost comical," Tevez told Kicker Sportmagazin. "I wanted to leave City and had offers from clubs in other leagues, both Italian and Spanish. But in the end it all collapsed because City wouldn't accept any of the offers.

"They say at City that I cost them a lot of money and so they don't want to give me away on the cheap. But they don't want to loan me out, either. I really have no idea what will happen in the coming months.

"I sent City a letter in which I told them why I wanted to go. Going to the League is the only option I've got right now."

Tevez also confirmed that he has appealed to the Premier League over a six-week fine imposed by the North West club.
