Man City's David Silva: 'We will not settle for draw against Manchester United'

Silva: 'We will not settle for a draw'

Manchester City star David Silva has insisted that he and his teammates will not be satisfied with anything less than a win when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Not only will the early kickoff pit the two local rivals against one another, it will be the first time that Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have gone head to head as managers since taking over at City and United respectively.

Both teams head into this fixture on the back of 100% records as they have won all three of their Premier League games so far, but City are at the top of the table by a marginally better goal difference.

"We've started the season very well and it should be a great game, but we won't be playing for a draw," Silva told Cope.

"We will go out to win the match. It's a ground where in the last few years things have gone okay for us. We know they are a very difficult rival, but we won't settle for a draw."

The last meeting at Old Trafford between these sides ended in a goalless draw - the first in five years.
