Diego Maradona has revealed that he helped Carlos Tevez repair his relationship with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.
The former Argentina boss claims that he urged Tevez to return to the club following his falling-out with Mancini last September.
Maradona said: "I told Tevez three months ago that he had to talk with Mancini as soon as possible.
"I said that because he was losing money — but also because he needed to play football again.
"I told Tevez, 'you must go back now'."
Tevez made his return for City on Wednesday evening during his side's 2-1 win over Chelsea.
