Roberto Mancini believes that new signing David Pizarro can help Manchester City reach the Premier League title.

Roberto Mancini believes that new loan signing David Pizarro can help Manchester City maintain their Premier League lead as they search for their first English title in 44 years.

The Roma midfielder completed his temporary move to the Etihad Stadium last night, which will keep him in the North West until the end of the season.

"David Pizarro is a good quality player," talkSPORT quotes Mancini as saying. "He plays in the middle, I think that he can help us in the next three months because now we're starting to play every three days and maybe sometimes we can rest the other players who have played all year."

Man City stumbled in their pursuit of the title last night when they lost 1-0 to Everton at Goodison Park last night.
