Martin Demichelis hits out at critics

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis hits out at those who have criticised and made fun of his individual performances this campaign.

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has slammed those who have criticised and made fun of his performances this season.

The Argentinian made a number of high profile mistakes early on in his City career but has been in impressive form in the last few months of the campaign.

"The people who criticised me need to be more respectful of me and what I've done during my career," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"I have never experienced this before, I'm a foreign player here and I need to go with that.

"But I've now played nearly 11 years in Europe, including eight at Bayern Munich, and I have won many trophies in that time. That is not by chance."

City will win the league title on Sunday if they secure just one point against West Ham United.
