Sergio Aguero: 'Manchester City will bounce back'

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero believes that the team will be challenging for honours again next season following a disappointing campaign.

Sergio Aguero has insisted that Manchester City will come back stronger next season after losing their Premier League crown to Chelsea.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have struggled for consistency for much of the campaign and will head into the summer without any silverware.

However, following their 6-0 thrashing of Queens Park Rangers, Aguero believes that the Blues will be challenging for honours again next term.

"We lost a lot of points this season and now we are in a good form, having won four games in a row so we must continue like this for the two remaining games," the Argentine told the club's official website.

"We want to finish the best we can and start next season fighting for every title. This season wasn't as we expected but we will face new challenges next season and there is always revenge in football. The club will decide what players they bring in but our mind has to be the same and go for every title since the beginning."

City are back in Premier League action on Sunday when they face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
