Sergio Aguero says that he will be fit to play Chelsea in the Community Shield next weekend after taking a knock in a friendly against Wolfsburg.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has insisted that he will be fit for the Community Shield next weekend.

Aguero took a knock in Saturday's pre-season friendly against Wolfsburg and was substituted as a precaution.

The Argentine striker tweeted to calm City fans' fears, saying: "Good game and another victory to get us to the game on Sunday.

"The kick I received? I'm fine, thanks for asking."

City play Chelsea at Villa Park in English football's traditional season opener on Sunday, August 12.
