Sergio Aguero confident of Manchester City resurgence

Sergio Aguero says that he and his Man City teammates remain convinced that they can revive their Premier League title hopes by beating leaders Chelsea on Saturday week.

Sergio Aguero has insisted that he and his Manchester City teammates can still pip Chelsea to Premier League glory ahead of the showdown at Stamford Bridge.

City suffered a blow in the defence of their title after losing 2-0 to Arsenal on Sunday in a defeat that leaves them five points behind the high-flying Blues.

Manuel Pellegrini's side travel to West London for arguably the biggest game of the season so far on January 31, and Aguero says that the champions remain confident of bouncing back.

"The team is enjoying a high level of confidence," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"Yes, the result at the weekend was not the best, but we think we have a great opportunity with the game coming up with Chelsea to turn things around."

The Sky Blues host Middlesbrough in an FA Cup clash at Eastlands on Saturday, while Chelsea welcome Bradford City to the Bridge.
