Man City injury news and return dates for Watford: Rodri, De Bruyne latest

Rodri, De Bruyne concerns: Man City injury list for Watford clash

Only two days after a high-octane battle with Arsenal, Manchester City go again in the EFL Cup, hosting Watford in Tuesday's third-round showdown.

Pep Guardiola's men stayed top of the Premier League courtesy of a thrilling 2-2 draw with the Gunners on Sunday, as John Stones popped up with a dramatic 98th-minute leveller.

The Citizens' 13-game Premier League winning run may have come to an end at the weekend, but they reunite with Watford having beaten the Hornets in each of their last 15 head-to-heads.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Hornets, who have eliminated MK Dons and Plymouth Argyle to reach the third round.

Rodri

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

After a tangle with Arsenal's Thomas Partey at a corner, Rodri went down writing in agony with an apparent knee injury at the weekend, and there are now fears that the Ballon d'Or favourite could miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Kevin De Bruyne sat out the Arsenal stalemate with the groin injury he picked up against Inter Milan in the Champions League, despite Guardiola suggesting that he could play, and he is not expected to return for the cup either.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Nathan Ake suffered a muscular problem while playing for the Netherlands earlier this month, and Guardiola has confirmed that he will not be back in action until after the next international break.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out Type of injury: Leg fracture Possible return date: Unknown

Oscar Bobb is on the long road to recovery from a devastating leg break over the summer, and the attacker should not be seen on the pitch again until 2025.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Manchester City have no suspended players for this match.
