Man City's Pablo Zabaleta sidelined for one month with knee ligament injury

Pablo Zabaleta ruled out for one month

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that full-back Pablo Zabaleta will be on the treatment table for one month after suffering an injury in training.

The Argentine was on the substitutes' bench for their season-opening 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion, as well as the team's comprehensive win over Chelsea.

However, the 30-year-old is not expected to be available for the club's next three or four fixtures after Pellegrini confirmed in this afternoon's press conference that his player suffered knee ligament damage in a training session.

City will take on Everton at Goodison Park this Sunday.
