Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Manchester City travel to the London Stadium on Saturday for a lunchtime kickoff against West Ham United.

Pep Guardiola's side go into the weekend still sitting in the bottom half of the table, but they will have been boosted by back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Porto respectively.

City have not won three successive games across all competitions yet this season, but come up against a West Ham side that pulled off one of the all-time great Premier League comebacks against Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Fernandinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg
Possible return date: Unknown

Fernandinho lasted just nine minutes on the pitch during Wednesday's win over Porto, coming on in the 85th minute but then limping back off in the fourth minute of stoppage time having picked up a leg injury. Guardiola was quick to confirm after the match that the could miss up to six weeks, although further scans have since suggested that it may be more like a month on the sidelines.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. West Ham)

Kevin De Bruyne has missed the last two games with the thigh injury he picked up on international duty, but the Belgian is due to return to training ahead of this match and, depending on how he reacts to that, could be in contention this weekend.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Sergio Aguero is now back, but Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined - likely until after the international break. Guardiola previously suggested that the Brazilian could be out for "months", but offered a more optimistic assessment prior to the win over Porto.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. West Ham United)

Like De Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte is expected back in training ahead of this match, although having only featured once in the league so far this season it may take him a little longer to work his way back to match fitness.

Nathan Ake

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. West Ham United)

Nathan Ake was forced to pull out of the Porto match on the morning of the game after feeling tightness in his groin, and the quick turnaround in fixtures means that he remains a doubt for this one.

Benjamin Mendy

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Benjamin Mendy is expected to miss another three weeks or so, likely ruling him out of action until after next month's international break.
