Man City injury, suspension news and return dates for Arsenal clash: De Bruyne, Ake

De Bruyne, Ake latest: Man City injury list for Arsenal clash

Manchester City will endeavour to preserve their perfect start to the 2024-25 Premier League season when they lock horns with title rivals Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Citizens have won each of their first four top-flight games thus far, although they drew a blank in front of goal in the Champions League on Wednesday night as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Inter Milan on home soil.

Arsenal, meanwhile, beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the North London derby last weekend, before playing out a goalless stalemate with Atalanta BC in the Champions League on Thursday.

Ahead of this mouthwatering top-of-the-table Premier League showdown, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: September 22 (vs. Arsenal)

Kevin De Bruyne was seen clutching his groin area before being taken off at half time in the midweek draw with Inter Milan. The Belgian remains a doubt for Sunday, but Pep Guardiola provided a positive update on his condition at Friday's press conference.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Wolves)

Nathan Ake has been ruled out until after the next international break in mid-October after he was stretchered off with a muscle injury while representing the Netherlands.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out Type of injury: Leg fracture Possible return date: Unknown

Oscar Bobb sustained a leg fracture in training in mid-August and he is not expected to return to first-team action until the end of the year at the earliest.
