Manchester City's quest for Club World Cup stardom begins with a semi-final tie against Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds at King Abdullah Sports City on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola's team will battle for international glory for the first time in Saudi Arabia on account of lifting their maiden Champions League crown aloft last season, and victory in midweek would set up a final with either Al Ahly or Fluminense.

However, the Citizens jet off to the Middle East on the back of another dampening domestic result, throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League clash.
