Sergio Aguero ruled out of Barcelona clash

Sergio Aguero will miss Manchester City's Champions League last-16 first-leg tie with Barcelona.

Sergio Aguero will miss Manchester City's Champions League last-16 first-leg tie with Barcelona on Tuesday.

It had been reported that the Argentine had an outside chance of making the European clash following a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

However, City boss Manuel Pellegrini has ruled the forward out of the first leg, which takes place in Manchester tomorrow.

"He (Aguero) is not in the squad list. We will see if he can be fit on Saturday, but maybe that is also difficult," Pellegrini told reporters at a press conference.

Aguero has scored 26 goals in 25 games this season.
