Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Club Brugge

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Club Brugge

Manchester City will hope to return to winning ways in the Champions League when they travel to Club Brugge on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola's side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in their last European battle, with Idrissa Gueye and Lionel Messi sinking last season's beaten finalists.

However, the Premier League champions eased to victory by the same scoreline over Burnley at the weekend, with Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne netting either side of the half-time whistle.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Ferran Torres

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: Unknown

Ferran Torres suffered a fractured metatarsal while representing Spain in October, and the attacker has now been ruled out until 2022.

Ederson

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Other Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brugge)

Ederson was a late return back from international duty with Brazil and was not in the squad to face Burnley. The goalkeeper should be fine to feature on Tuesday, but Guardiola has only listed him as a "maybe".

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Other Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brugge)

Similarly, Gabriel Jesus did not take part against Burnley after his late return from South America, and Guardiola has refused to confirm the striker's availability for this game either.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Benjamin Mendy

Status: Out Possible return date: Unknown

Subject to a police charge, Benjamin Mendy has been suspended by Man City pending an investigation, meaning that the defender will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
