Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Dinamo Zagreb

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Dinamo Zagreb

Manchester City head into their Champions League fixture with Dinamo Zagreb looking to record their second successive victory in Group C.

Despite concerns over their defence, City eased to a 3-0 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine on matchday one, although they find themselves in second spot to Tuesday's opponents, who thrashed Atalanta BC by a 4-0 scoreline.

However, Pep Guardiola will be aware that a fifth win in a row in all competitions will give the Premier League champions a clear advantage heading into their remaining games.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the fixture with the Croatian side.

Leroy Sane

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

While Sane is making good progress from a serious knee injury sustained in the Community Shield, the Germany international will not return until 2020.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Like Sane, Laporte is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury, suffered during the early weeks of the season. The centre-back is not expected back until February at the earliest.

John Stones

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Stones picked up a muscle strain at a time when Laporte had just been ruled out in the long term. However, the Englishman should be in a position to make an appearance during the games later in October.
