Report: Malaga lead Ruben Castro race

A report claims that Malaga want to sign Real Betis forward Ruben Castro.

Malaga are reportedly interested in signing Real Betis forward Ruben Castro.

It has been a frustrating campaign for the 32-year-old, with injuries restricting his involvement for Betis, whose relegation from La Liga was confirmed at the weekend.

That said, Castro is still regarded as one of the most talented forwards in Spain and has been strongly linked with a number of clubs in recent months.

According to AS, Malaga are interested in signing the striker, but will face competition from a number of La Liga sides.

It is understood that Betis will demand a fee in the region of £2.5m for Castro.
