Report: Sergi Darder closing on Lyon move

Lyon are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Malaga for the transfer of Spanish midfielder Sergi Darder.

The 21-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Inter Milan towards the end of last season, but the move broke down at the final minute.

Darder hinted that his long-term future was with Malaga after commenting on the failed Inter move, but according to Marca, the midfielder is now closing on a move to Lyon.

The same report has claimed that Lyon will part with £7m for the Spaniard, with the deal expected to be completed this week.

Darder is currently contracted to Malaga until 2017.
