Malaga to battle Man Utd for Christian Eriksen

Malaga have emerged as contenders to challenge Manchester United for the signature of Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen over the summer.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently claimed that he was keen to watch the 20-year-old.

However, big-spending Malaga could lure the Dane to La Liga at the end of the season, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

The fourth-placed side's chances of landing Eriksen would be increased if they achieved qualification to next season's Champions League.
