Martin Demichelis expected to leave Malaga

Malaga coach Bernd Schuster has revealed that Martin Demichelis will leave the club this summer.

The 32-year-old recently failed to agree new terms with the Spanish side and will depart on a free transfer.

"We would have liked him to continue as he's a respected and important part of this team, but it seems that our ideas are different and we must accept that," Goal.com quotes him as saying.

Demichelis has been linked with a return to his native Argentina to play for River Plate.
