Bernd Schuster: "We didn't do enough"

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster reveals his disappointment following Monday's 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad.

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster has admitted that his side "didn't do enough" to beat Real Sociedad on Monday evening.

Carlos Vela's first-half strike secured all the points for Sociedad, with Schuster's side just one spot outside of the relegation zone with 14 games remaining.

"We didn't do enough to win tonight. During the first half we just couldn't overcome the rival's relatively slow pace on the pitch, and despite creating chances in the second half to at least equalise, we still lost tonight. There's not much more to say about this game," he told reporters.

"We always react well when we're behind on the score board, which is a good quality the team has always had, and will continue to do so. However mistakes are costing us dearly, particularly in the situation we're in now."

Malaga have won just six of their 24 league games this season.
