Bernd Schuster calls on home support

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster targets a first home league win since the start of last month against Espanyol on Wednesday evening.

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster has claimed that his side's home form in the latter stages of the season will be vital in their fight against relegation.

Last season's Champions League quarter-finalists have won their last two away league games, but have not picked up all three points on their home patch since the start of February.

"We really need to win in front of our fans tomorrow at La Rosaleda, following two important away wins," he told reporters at a press conference.

"There are a lot of vital points to be earned from home matches, and our fans will help us get them.

"We're achieving positive results now and I have faith that these players will perform well and help us win the game, although it won't be easy."

Malaga, who host Espanyol this evening, currently sit 13th in the table.
