Flavio pleased with debut

Malaga defender Flavio has revealed that he was pleased to make his debut in their 1-0 defeat to Levante at the weekend.

However, he has admitted that his introduction came in 'unfortunate circumstances' after his teammate Samuel was forced off with an injury during the loss in Valencia.

"It's a shame that I got the chance to make my debut under these circumstances, but these things happen in football. I work hard in training every day to ensure I'm match-fit for when the coach needs me. I hope to get the chance to play a lot more in the future," he told reporters.

"We worked hard, but luck wasn't on our side tonight. We deserved a draw at the very least, but it's important that we stay focused and on the right track."

Flavio joined Malaga in the summer.
