Malaga's Ignacio Camacho to undergo hip surgery

Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho will undergo hip surgery in Germany on Tuesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old, who has been one of La Liga's standout midfielders this season, has been plagued by a hip problem since the turn of the year.

It was thought that the Spaniard would have the issue corrected this summer, but both the player and his club have decided to bring the operation forward.

According to Inside Spanish Football, Camacho travelled to Munich on Monday alongside the head of Malaga's medical staff and the surgery will take place on Tuesday afternoon.

It is thought that Camacho, who has been linked with a move away from Malaga this summer, will then be out of action for a month.
