Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has revealed that he is hoping to be part of the England squad at next year's World Cup in Brazil.
The 23-year-old last played for the Three Lions at Euro 2012 during the team's quarter-final defeat to Italy.
Despite not featuring for his country in over a year, Henderson believes that he still has a future at international level.
"I'll try to make sure they don't forget about me and the only way to do that is to make sure I'm playing well for Liverpool," he told the club's official website.
"If I'm doing that they can't ignore me. But the group of players who got the team to the World Cup have been fantastic and a large amount of them will be taken to the World Cup.
"There will only be a few slots there for people determined enough and who want it enough."
Henderson has won five caps for England since making his senior debut in 2010.
