Luis Suarez wants friendly outcome to transfer saga

Luis Suarez claims that he wants a friendly resolution to the transfer saga, but reiterates his desire to join Arsenal.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that he would like a 'friendly outcome' to his current transfer saga.

After months of speculation, Suarez recently admitted that he wanted to leave the club, causing manager Brendan Rodgers to publicly criticise him.

Suarez has now revealed that he wants an amicable resolution, and reiterated his desire to play Champions League football with Arsenal.

"I'm still defending the Liverpool shirt and I will do so until the last minute," Suarez told Marca. "My aim is to reach and agreement with the club in a friendly manner.

"It's not that I want to, or am desperate to leave, but I like things to be clear and a year ago I made my position to the club clear.

"A Champions League team is making a big effort to get me and one always wants to be where they feel comfortable."

Arsenal are reportedly ready to test Liverpool's resolve further with a £51m bid.
