Rodgers: 'Liverpool won't be busy in transfer market'

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reiterates his stance that he is unlikely to be adding to his squad before the transfer deadline.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has reiterated that he is unlikely to be making any late additions to his squad.

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday evening, and while the Northern Irishman admitted that he is always looking to improve the side, he stated that a late dip into the market is doubtful.

He told reporters: "You have to look for star quality but if it's not available then you press on with what you've got. I'll always look within.

"It will be very quiet for us. We're looking to keep all our players here. When [you play] so many games, you have to plan forward but I'll pick a team to win the game [against Bolton Wanderers].

"I have a squad I trust and believe in."

The Reds travel to Bolton in an FA Cup fourth-round replay on Wednesday.
