Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is expecting interest in his best players this summer, but insists that they are happy at the club.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is expecting interest in his best players this summer.

The Reds look likely to miss out on Champions League football once more this season, but Rodgers believes that his top players are more than happy to stay at Anfield.

"I am a realist. We've got some outstanding players here who other clubs will show interest in," admitted Rodgers in The Mirror.

"But I can only speak from my experience of working with the players here and I think they are all happy.

"They all seem happy. They seem to want to be here as we move the club forward."

Defenders Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel were reportedly attracting interest from Manchester City last season, with Luis Suarez's future also subject of speculation in the summer.
