Report: Atletico Madrid want Luis Suarez

A report claims that Atletico Madrid will make an ambitious move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez in the summer.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly preparing a big-money move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez in the summer.

The Spanish outfit, who are currently third in La Liga, are facing the prospect of losing top scorer Diego Costa at the end of the season.

According to AS, however, Simeone is hopeful of keeping the Brazilian-born Spanish international and pairing him with Suarez in the Atletico attack next season.

Suarez is currently the leading scorer in the Premier League and is enjoying a prosperous season at Anfield, but it is understood that the Uruguayan international is keen on a move to Spain.

Despite an impressive campaign, Atletico have lost four of their last six games in all competitions.
