Victor Moses: 'Daniel Sturridge convinced me to join Liverpool'

Moses: 'Sturridge wanted me at Liverpool'

New Liverpool signing Victor Moses has revealed that striker Daniel Sturridge convinced him to make the move to Merseyside.

The Nigerian signed for the Reds yesterday on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

"I spoke to Studge and he wanted me to come here," the Liverpool Echo quotes Moses as saying. "He said I'd love it here, but he didn't need to say much. The next morning, I had a word with my agent and told him it could be the right move for me."

Moses became the third Liverpool signing on deadline day following the acquisitions of defenders Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho.
