Liverpool plan swoop for Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin

Liverpool are said to be planning a swoop for Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin.

The 23-year-old is a target for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers as he looks to add some creativity to his side, according to The Mirror.

It is understood Real are willing to allow the Turkish international leave on loan and Rodgers's good relationship with Jose Mourinho puts the Anfield outfit in the driving seat, despite reported interest from Arsenal.

Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign away to West Bromwich Albion on August 18.
