Liverpool to bid £23.5m for Pjanic?

Liverpool have reportedly identified Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic as the ideal replacement for captain Steven Gerrard.

The Merseyside outfit will be without their 34-year-old skipper next season after it was confirmed that the midfielder will join MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.

According to The Metro, manager Brendan Rodgers believes that 24-year-old Pjanic can fill the void left by Gerrard and a £23.5m bid is being mooted.

Reports have claimed that the Reds are planning to offer the Roma star a wage package worth £60,000 a week.
