Liverpool are no longer in the running to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool are not in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report.

The World Cup-winning attacker is running down the final few months of his Parc des Princes deal and is seemingly set to leave PSG as a free agent in the summer window.

Real Madrid have long been considered the front-runners for Mbappe's signature, and Los Blancos are thought to be confident about their chances of getting a deal over the line.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, but according to Sport, Jurgen Klopp's men are now out of the running to sign him in the summer.

The report adds that Real Madrid is now the only realistic destination for Mbappe should he leave PSG, with neither Barcelona nor Manchester City in the race either.

Mbappe has registered 22 goals and 16 assists in 33 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side this term and recently affirmed that he is yet to make a decision on his future.
