Liverpool 'insist Salah not for sale amid Bayern links'

Liverpool reportedly intend to block any planned move from Bayern Munich for forward Mohamed Salah at the end of the season.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted in an interview earlier this week that it would "be an honour" to sign the 28-year-old.

Rummenigge also described Salah as "the Lionel Messi of Africa", only strengthening rumours of a possible move to the Allianz Arena in the summer transfer window.

However, The Sun claims that Liverpool have issued a hands-off warning to the European champions by reiterating that the Egypt international is not for sale at any price.

Salah still has another two-and-a-half years to run on his Anfield contract, which is believed to be worth in the region of £200,000 a week.

The former Chelsea and Roma attacker leads the way at the top of the Premier League scoring charts this season with 16 goals in 22 appearances.
