Liverpool discuss Juan Vargas deal

Liverpool have contacted Fiorentina over the possibility of signing Peruvian international Juan Vargas.

The versatile 28-year-old can operate on the wing, in central midfielder and at left-back.

Bayern Munich have reportedly had an £8m bid rejected by the Serie A club and the Anfield outfit are now in negotiations with the Gigliati over a potential summer move, according to The Sun.

Vargas has 39 Peru caps to his name.
