Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly slash their asking price for Liverpool and Barcelona-linked Adama Traore to just £18m.

Liverpool have reportedly been alerted to the possibility of signing Adama Traore for a cut-price fee from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Spain international was widely expected to depart Molineux at the end of last season, but Wolves' reported £50m asking price deterred potential suitors.

However, Traore has now entered the final two years of his deal with Bruno Lage's side, and there appears to be no imminent sign of an extension.

As a result, Football Insider claims that Wolves are now prepared to slash their asking price for the attacker, and a fee of £18m may be enough to sanction a sale.

The report adds that Wolves are desperate to free up funds as they eye a permanent deal for Hwang Hee-chan, and Liverpool have been put on red alert amid uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah's future.

Traore - also linked with a return to Barcelona - is without a goal or assist in 12 Premier League games this season and has registered 10 goals and 18 assists in 145 appearances for the club in total.
