Lambert completes West Brom switch

Rickie Lambert has left Liverpool to join West Bromwich Albion on a two-year deal.

The England striker has joined the Baggies for an undisclosed fee thought to be around £3m.

Lambert, 33, arrived at Anfield from Southampton in June 2014 before going on to score three goals in 36 games for the Reds.

However, his future on Merseyside was called into question earlier this summer following the arrivals of Divock Origi, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke.

"Rickie is a good, strong, solid player who is a great character, good in the dressing room and good on the pitch," West Brom boss Tony Pulis told the club's official website.

"We are very pleased to have him on board. He's a player of great pedigree and we look forward to integrating him into our squad."

Lambert has scored three goals in 11 appearances for England since 2013.
