Granit Xhaka plays down exit talk

Borussia Monchengladbach captain Granit Xhaka has said that he is "really enjoying" life at his current club amid speculation that Liverpool want to bring the Swiss international to the Premier League.

It has been reported that Jurgen Klopp wants to make the 23-year-old his first Liverpool signing in January and was preparing a move for the central midfielder.

However, Xhaka, whose contract at Gladbach runs for another three-and-a-half years, has insisted that he is happy with life in Germany.

"I am under contract until 2019 here and I am really enjoying life at the club. This is all that matters to me, for the rest I have got my advisor and my father!" he told Sky Deutchland.

Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the 39-time Swiss international, who has scored three Bundesliga goals this season.
