Granada want Tiago Ilori on permanent basis

Granada sporting director Juan Carlos Cordero hints at a permanent move for on-loan Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori.

Granada sporting director Juan Carlos Cordero has hinted that the club want to sign Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori on a permanent basis.

The defender is currently on loan at Granada from Anfield, where he moved from Sporting Lisbon at the start of the season.

The 20-year-old has impressed in the early stages of his La Liga career, with Cordero claiming that he would like to make the move permanent.

"He's shown the experience he gained in Portugal and he's adapted very quickly to the team. He will keep growing as a player and is an option for us to assess, if the right circumstances are there," he told reporters at a press conference.

"When we reach the end of summer, we'll see if Liverpool want him for their first team, if they want to sell or loan him to us again."

The centre-back is yet to make his debut for Liverpool.
