Christian Benteke to undergo Liverpool medical on Monday?

Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke is reportedly due to undergo a medical on Monday ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool.

Several reports in the press have insisted that Benteke has already agreed personal terms with the Anfield club, and talkSPORT is now suggesting that the player's medical could take place early next week.

It is thought that Liverpool plan to use part of the £49m fee received from the transfer of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City in order to trigger Benteke's £32m release clause.

The Belgian forward notched 16 goals in 35 appearances for Villa last season.
