Agent: Glen Johnson "looking at many clubs"

Glen Johnson's agent says that his client will leave Liverpool in the summer, but insists that no talks have taken place with Roma.

Glen Johnson's agent has all but confirmed that the right-back's Liverpool career will come to an end in the summer.

The 30-year-old's current deal at Anfield is due to expire in June and as yet, no agreement has been reached over an extension to those terms.

As a result, the defender's representative Jonathan Barnett has revealed that his client has started to look "at many clubs".

"He's obviously looking for things at the moment. He's looking at many clubs. Glen is obviously looking for somewhere where he can turn around his career," Barnett told RomaPress.

"That's the most important thing for him - where he can play nicely under a good club that's challenging for things. That is where he wants to be."

It has recently been suggested that Roma were keen to add the former Chelsea and West Ham United player to their squad alongside his fellow Englishman Ashley Cole.

Barnett hinted that Johnson would strongly consider a switch to the Italian capital, but he stressed that no talks with the Serie A side had taken place.

"Well, I can't really say if he is considering Roma, we've had no contact with Roma. Although, Roma would be a lovely place for him," he added.

"Ashley Cole absolutely adores it there, I represent him as well. Ashley thinks very highly of Rome, but we've had no contact with Roma regarding Glen."

Johnson made a late appearance as a substitute during Liverpool's 1-0 win over Swansea City last night.
