Team News: Daniel Sturridge misses out for much-changed Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge is left out of the Liverpool starting lineup for the visit of Everton to Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge has been left out of Liverpool's starting lineup for this evening's Merseyside derby meeting with Everton.

The England international had started each of the Reds' last four games in the Premier League, but Divock Origi is preferred for tonight's clash.

Jurgen Klopp has made nine changes to his side in all, reverting back to his strongest available lineup after opting to rest key players for last weekend's win over Bournemouth.

Of those who started from the off at the Vitality Stadium, only Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva retain their places in the starting XI.

In terms of the visitors, under-fire boss Roberto Martinez has decided to name a strong side despite being just four days away from a vital FA Cup semi-final fixture at Wembley.

Gareth Barry is back in the side to earn a record-equalling 571st Premier League start, while Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Leighton Baines and Aaron Lennon are also integrated back into the fold.

An injury picked up by Seamus Coleman last time out keeps him out of the squad, however, so Bryan Oviedo switches to right-back for a Toffees side without a win against their rivals in 10 league meetings.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Origi
Subs: Ward, Toure, Sturridge, Allen, Ibe, Stewart, Smith

Everton: Joel, Baines, Funes Mori, Stones, Oviedo, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Lennon, Barkley, Lukaku
Subs: Howard, Niasse, Besic, Cleverley, Deulofeu, Osman, Pienaar
