Team News: Noni Madueke handed Chelsea start against Liverpool, Ben Chilwell recalled

Noni Madueke has been included in Chelsea's XI for Wednesday's Premier League game at Liverpool.

Despite starting against Aston Villa in the FA Cup last week, the winger may have expected to drop back down to the substitutes' bench for the fixture at Anfield.

However, Madueke remains in the side in a front three that also features Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling, head coach Mauricio Pochettino choosing to go with a false nine.

The only change to the team that started against Villa is the recall of Ben Chilwell, who will be used at left-back with Benoit Badiashile moving into the centre.

Helped by the returns of Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku after injury, Chelsea's substitutes' bench is as strong as it has been for a number of months.

Amid speculation regarding his future, Armando Broja is only selected among the replacements in what could potentially be his last game in a Chelsea squad.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has opted to make just the four changes to the Liverpool starting lineup from the FA Cup tie against Norwich City on Sunday.

Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz have all been restored to the team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are only included on the bench after their recent recoveries from hamstring and shoulder injuries respectively.
