Watford have announced that they are investigating an allegation of homophobic chanting from Saturday's Premier League fixture with Southampton.
Homophobic abuse is something that the club has zero tolerance for, and the club have acted quickly in trying to get to the bottom of the situation.
The club issued a statement: "We are aware of an incident of homophobic chanting at Saturday's match. We have spoken to the supporter who reported this and are working with them to identify the individuals responsible."
"We reiterate our zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and how to report it."
The situation took place on Saturday when the Hornets were defeated 1-0 by Southampton, and is unfortunately not the first situation regarding homophobic chants this season, as Liverpool fans were also called out when they faced Norwich City.
