Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that the club's fans have helped him on and off the pitch during his time at Anfield.
The Uruguay international has committed his future to the Merseyside outfit by signing a new long-term contract.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on fresh terms following his attempts to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
"I love the city and the supporters," Suarez told the club's official website. "They help me and I try my best on the pitch for them. The summer was a difficult time, but they helped me to come back and play.
"And I think that when the supporters help you off the pitch, you try your best on the pitch and try to produce fantastic work on the field, so that they are happy."
Suarez has netted 17 goals in 11 Premier League matches this season.
