Salah confident of Liverpool silverware

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has said that he is positive of winning silverware in his first season with the club.

The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form following his summer arrival at Anfield, scoring 21 goals in all competitions, including 15 in the Premier League to rank as the joint top scorer alongside Harry Kane.

The Reds are 20 points adrift of Manchester City in the title race, but remain alive in the Champions League and the FA Cup, and Salah is confident that come the end of the season, the side will be rewarded with their first trophy since the League Cup in 2012.

"I am always saying that I want to win titles here," the Egypt international told Sky Sports News. "I came here to win something for the clubs, for us and for the fans. I would love to win something here.

"We are working hard everyday to win something. I'm sure we are going to win something this year."

Salah is Liverpool's club-record signing, having sealed a £37.5m switch from Roma to Merseyside in June.
