Liverpool legend Ian Rush has claimed that new signing Mario Balotelli will work well with Daniel Sturridge.
The 24-year-old has completed a £16m move to Anfield, as the Reds seek to fill the void left by Luis Suarez's move to Barcelona.
Rush believes that the controversial Italy international will follow Suarez by building a formidable striking partnership with Sturridge.
"When Suarez was playing with Sturridge, they interacted with each other. They read the game together," Rush told talkSPORT.
"Balotelli and Sturridge will do that. It's called a football brain. I'm sure Balotelli and Sturridge will do the same. Sturridge learned a lot from Suarez and I'm sure Balotelli will learn from Sturridge."
Balotelli could make his Liverpool debut at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
